About the role

If you would like to join our 18-month Graduate Programme in a fast-moving team that provides technology solutions for National Grid created with the user at the centre of the development process, then Solutions Engineering is for you. As part of the team you will focus on quality, user experience, pace and cost as you turn user and customer needs into solutions. You will be working in collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders in IT, across National Grid’s business and our external partner organisations. During the 18-month Graduate Programme, made up of three 6-month placements in different areas of Solutions Engineering, your skills will be developed across the business while you gain experience working in varied teams to help find what suits you best. You could develop your career in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Automation Engineering or Quality Engineering.

What you'll need

As one of our Graduates, you’ll have the chance to start putting your studies into practice. You’ll need to be curious and proactive. Ask questions. Be interested. Along with a 2.1 Degree classification in one of the following disciplines:

Computer Science (preferable)ORIT (acceptable)

We’re proud to offer a competitive salary of £28,709 (Bachelors) OR £29,753 (Masters)

This opportunity will be based at either our National Grid House site in Warwick or St Catherine’s Lodge site in Wokingham.
